Tamang Heritage & Langtang Valley Trek Client Feed Back

This is the combine trek of  Tamang Heritage and Langtang  start from Kathmandu with a loal bus ride  to Syabrubesi. The  actual trek begins from Syabrubesi,heading upward to Gatlang village and Tatopani( A place with hotspring).Heading to Nagthali and Taruche for the superb view of Ganesh Himal, the trek goes to Lama hotel, Langtang Village and to famous Kaynjuing Gumpa.

This trek offer a mixed mountain adventure and Himalayan culture of  Tamang  people. This  trek highlights  exciting Himalayas along with rural landscape, Buddhist Prayer flag, Stupas, Chortens and so on. This is also a popular region of ancient Tibetan monasteries, rhododendron flowers, bamboo forest along  with  natural streams and sacred river, which make the trip is one of the hiking paradise in Nepal.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival  in Kathmandu (1,300m)
Heartily welcome to country of Himalaya. One of Vista Trek`s team member will pick  you at the Tribhuvan intl. airport with the garland  and assists you to transfegr in your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking at the hotel and refreshment, you will be welcomed at our office. Brief discussion about trekking, introduction with the guide & porter and payment for the trip. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,420m), 8-9 hours drive by Local Bus
Early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu by local bus. Our bus goes through the beautiful countryside, with terrace field, green valley as well as  magnificent views of Mt.Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and more. Overnight at a local guest house at Syabrubesi.

Day 03. Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m.) via Goljung- 6 Hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today, we start our trek ascending to view point from where we can see close view of Mt. Ganesh Himal.As the name describe, we can experience tamang culture with typical tamang houses, people on the way. An hour down hill from the view point bring us Goljung village for the lunch, and further 3 hours walk bring us in Gatlang village for the overnight.In the evening you can visit Monastery as well.

Day 04. Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m.)- 6 Hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today, after breakfast we start our trek descending to Thangbuchet  and to Chilime village. After having lunch in Chilime village, we cross the suspension bridge and go all the way up to Tatopani village for the overnight. After the long and hard walk, we can enjoy  hot bath in natural hot spring.Local people believe that hot bath will cure skin problem as well as aches and pains.

Day 05. Trek from Tatopani to  Nagthali (3165m.)- 5 Hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today, start our trek ascending to Nagthalidanda. This is the best view point of our trip as we have long panoramic view of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Langtang,  Kerung  and more. On the way, we may encounter wild dear, monkey and other animals.

Day 06. Trek from Nagthali to Briddim (1762m.)- 6-7 Hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today our trek start with descend walking to Thuman Village.After Thuman we trek to Briddim via Lingling village. Briddim is popular for their cultural and tradition song and dance. Live craftsmanship as well as monastery is also an attraction of this village. Overnight at local house.

Day 07. Trek from  Briddim (2229m.) to Rimche- 6 Hours. Overnight at Guesthouse
Today, we trek from Briddim to Lama Hotel. The trail descends to the Ghopche Khola and leads to Sherpa gaun and to  Rimche for the overnight.

Day 08: Rimche to Langtang village (3,480m), 5-6 hrs walks
After breakfast we start our trek with the pleasant walk through the rhododendron and pine forest up to Ghora Tabela. On the way,we have great view of Mt. Langtang. After taking lunch in Ghoratabela, we continue our trek toa pleasant walk and follow the trail through rhododendron and pine forest for around three hours to reach Langtang Village for the overnight.

Day 09: Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa (3,870m), 4hours walk
Today we have short and pleasant walk . The trail goes slowly up all the way to Kyanjin Gompa. On the way, Buddhist prayer wall and prayer wheel make our trail special. The view of Mt. Gyanchenpo, Langtang and other peaks are also beautiful. After the lunch in Kyanjin Gompa, we visit the monastery, and explore the surrounding. Overnight at guest house.

Day 10: Exploring Day  at Kyanjin Gompa
Today we have exploring day. Depending on  your interest or fitness, you can either climb  to Chrkyo Ri(4990m) or to hike in Kyanjin Ri. The valley from the top of Kyanjin Ri or Cherkyo Ri is awesome. You will have proud and happy moment as we are surrounded by the numerous peak including Langtang & Gyanchenpo.

Day 11: Kyanjin Gumpa to Lama Hotel (2340m), 6-7 hours walk
Today after breakfast we start our trek. It is long and all the way down to Lama hotel for the overnight.

Day 12: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,420m), 4 hours walk
This is our last day of trekkiing. Today we start our trek with descend walk to Pairothapla. After Pairothapla the trail goes slow up and further down to Syabrubesi for the overnight.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu. 8 hours driving.
Today we take our breakfast early in the morning and take bus to Kathmandu. It is same way drive back with nice view of  green valley, terrace field and picturesque mountains. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
This is your last day in Nepal. You can do shopping or buy some souvenirs for your family, friends or relatives until your departure to airport.  We will  transferred to the International Airport for your departure  your onward destination.
