Jomsom Trekking Client Feed Back

The Jomsom Trek (part of the Annapurna circuit) is indeed a classic trek, which follows the Kali Gandaki valley between two popular peaks - Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The region stretches to the northern part of the Himalayan range, and the Tibetan Plateau, which is a very dry and desert-like area. The diversity of land and indigenous Nepali cultures found along its route reflects the true Nepalese rural life.

After passing Jomsom, it takes several days to reach the final major destination – Muktinath, the holy temple for Hindus and Buddhists. The Jomsom trek starts and ends in Nayapul, nearly one-hour travel from Pokhara. The Kali Gandaki River, which carved the gorge, joins with the Ganges in India is a major attraction of this trek.

This trek can be recommended year-round even though most of this trek lies within the rain shadow. Flights can also be arranged from Jomsom to Pokhara.
